17-8 Saterday. San Quirico D’Orcia - Gallina

Start at 6 passing the church of Santa Maria Assunta and the castle Vignoni Alto and an other church in San Biagio. As usual bloody hot and much going up and down. In Bagno Vignoni were thermal baths and I crossed Ponte Peruzzi and had a coffee stop in Castiglione d’Orcia and passes The Pit of Pauses. Around 13.00 I reached Gallina (2 km off the route) I visited the church and had a small lunch. After that I checked in at La Vecchia Posta and surprise: the Russian couple was staying there too and a Mexican guy on the bike. The woman washed my clothes in the washing machine so that was nice. At 6 an Italian writer was promoting his new book on the square and at 19.45 the whole village took part of a big Pasta Party so Olga, Alexander and me too and it was delicious! At 21.15 there was a band with live music but my eyes closed so time to sleep                                                                      Today 20 km Total 659
